Is Sammy experimenting with Dark Magic?

I keep hearing strange rumors that shadow people lurk around the alleyways of their residence. It came to my attention when an old merchant from the Asig household made me aware of cursed items that mysteriously went missing from their chapter room.
Everyone knows that Sammy used to own the Asig house, meaning they stole these items that used to belong to them in darker ages.
The items are known to be filled with cursed dark magic. I was walking by the other day, and could have sworn I heard sounds of Goblins and Ghouls, spilling out from their windows.
The curiosities lead me to believe in one thing: Sammy must be experimenting with dark magic, and building up armies of goblins, ghouls, and other creators.
but for what purpose????

I believe this could be many things.
I heard through the grapevine in the common region that they may be in big debts to the Goblin King himself.
I wouldn't be surprised if they are creating these entities as some sort of offering to the Goblin King to appease his sorrows
