it’s just empty now. i’m staying in bloom for quarantine and i drove by the other day. they took down tpa’s letters but haven’t put any new ones on. the house will stay vacant

No one is in the process or trying to get the house nor has anyone reached out to the leasor. The leasor rent gouges people, thats why tpa went broke in the first place. That house will sit empty till delts get back on campus.

Why would it remain empty tho? If anything wouldn’t that only become an expense for the landlord? It seems like renting it out for 2 years until the delts return seems like a move

No idea why they screwed over TPA so hard but considering the rent is ridiculous and it’s not even close to a permanent housing situation, I can’t see any chapter signing a lease there until whenever delts come back.

The problem is most organizations arent interested in renting because the chapter just takes a loss, so nationals usually wont back them. They need to find a house to purchase. Because that house is so high the landlord prolly pay steep property taxes so they charge a premium, but if no one is willing to live in there at the rent prices they’ll be able to write off a lot of expenses so they wont lose much even if it sits empty until delts move back in.

They are already converting it back into a frat house and getting rid of all the sorority stuff. They’re not going to redo the inside of the house just to let another frat move in and do what they want with it. The amount of damage that another frat could do to that house wouldn’t be worth the rent they’re paying so the delts would rather leave it empty

pike is not getting it they have all signed their leases for their place next year. pilam doesn’t have enough members to fill it and can’t afford it. Most if not all of the unhoused chapters can’t afford that house because it’s so insanely expensive. the landlord screwed tpa for the past 4 years which has saved up enough money that it can sit empty for 2 more years. No one is moving in
