I’ve watched the past 3 years as the tier system has been disappearing, it is still there but the reality is no one even cares anymore. I have been at quads where the top frat/sororities are at the same ones as the bottom. There is so much interaction, there’s zetas dating guys in du and d chi, or pi phis at pikes date party or beta and pkp at du party. The amount of interaction I’ve seen amongst all the tiers is crazy and supports the idea that YOU SHOULD NOT CHOOSE YOUR HOUSE BASED ON TIERS. (Everyone in Greek life parties together and you really can go anywhere you want, trust me...I go to so many other houses pairs)
With everyone getting in trouble or kicked left and right at IU, and all this intermingling, tiers should not control your choices. 3 years ago I will admit it should’ve, but now everyone is caring less and less!

tiers can change at ANY time as chapters get in trouble or get kicked off. ASA seniors had pairs with beta, TPA seniors had pairs with SAE and SigEp, some upper mid or even top tiers were pairing with lower tier frats now. It all changes within a couple years so choose your chapter based on the people in it and nothing else
