bid night question

So if I make it to prefer round with two sororities, one I’m a legacy and the second is the one I really want, how does bid night work. I heard that if I make it to pref round with my legacy they have to offer me a bid. Do we rank them after pref round? Or will I only get a bid from my legacy?

You rank them both. Have your rho gam explain it to you when you get to that point.

If you make it to pref round and write down both houses, you are guaranteed a bid. Your legacy chapter will most certainly extend you a bid but both chapters are obliged to if you are there at prefs. It just depends on your first choice and where you fall on their list of pnms. But, no worries at that point, you can sleep soundly.
