“Each house is given a number each round and that is the exact number of girls they invite back. The number is based on return rates so for example pi phi HAS TO cut a certain number of girls bc so few people choose to rank them lowly this early on so pi phi might only be allowed to invite 1000 girls back to a round that tpa has to invite 1500 back to.

Each house also creates a list each round of girls that will fill the spots of anyone who drops their house so if house abc has to invite 420 girls back to a round but only 400 of those girls did not drop house abc then the top 20 girls from their extra list move up if they wanted to come back and it works thus way every round including pref.

As far as what are the top houses looking for, they look for looks, money, connections, and social media clout but houses make cuts tonight right after the rounds even though you guys don’t get your lists until Friday so there’s nothing you can do at this point that will help with any of that.

This is a very stressful week for pnms and we know that but try to hold out and give the houses that stil want you back for sisterhood round a shot bc if they’re still inviting you back at that point they see something in you and are seriously considering offering you membership so you should consider them just as seriously!”

For real guys I know it’s hard but try not to take cuts personally every house HAS to make a certain amount of cuts every round so that they don’t string girls along. When you get cut it is almost always bc they thought you would fit better at a different house or houses and remember you only need ONE house in the end so don’t get blinded by the few girls you know who get back full cards every time. Focus on yourself and remember that all the chapters at IU are great nationally so you’d be lucky to be a part of any one of them!
Nothing wrong with liking the top and top mid houses best but I promise you’ll end up regretting dropping just bc your friends got back different houses than you when you’re alone in the dorms the rest of the year bc you didn’t get the top houses back. If being in Greek life and living in a dope mansion on campus w your best fiends is something that is important to you stick out the process even if you do only have one chapter left!
