why do we rank?

Before you immediately comment I'm just salty and didn't get a bid.... just read. I'm genuinely curious how other people feel about this.

Why do we "rank" some houses better than others? In all honesty, I know girls and guys in a wide variety of houses and they all enjoy their different experiences equally. Instead of ranking houses as being "top" or "better" than others, why don't we just acknowledge that each "tier" is very different and just have different priorities? I don't know... it just seems like these constant posts create such a toxic community. I'm not saying every house is "equal," they're all just so different in reality and ranking them makes 0 sense. It's so subjective considering they're all so different IMO.

Did you ever like actually stop and think about it tho. I’m in ASA. I don’t have a house but I also don’t pay 1000’s of dollars a year. Ya we don’t pair with ZBT of sig chi or whatever but I have friends in houses frats and get invited to their parties all the time. I’m glad I’m not in a house like pi phi and dz because that’s just not what I wanted. And before you go saying I got dropped I didn’t pref round was ASA and AChiO. Everyone is different tiers mean nothing if you are not going to enjoy your time in a sorority

No most girls end up not wanting a top tier. Pref round I had phi mu and a phi. I ended up in phi mu. People want different things

I joined a bottom tier house and half my pc dropped within a year and a half. Take the best house you can get that’s what 99% of pnms do anyways

joined a lower mid sorority because I didn’t get what I preffed, and was told “trust the process”, lmao i STILL don’t fit in with the majority of my sisters, we just have completely different ways of life.
