how do sororities know you're rich

i see so many people say that if your parents are rich then you'll easily be able to get into a top tier but how do they know that? i've heard it so much and i'm just confused on how sororities know how rich you are

Just because you are rich you wont "easily get into a top house"

You also need to have rich parents who know the parents of current sorority members. And have those crazy type parents who get involved and call around to the members parents etc. etc. etc.

part of it is definitely clothes. last years recruitment was FILLED with gucci/Hermès belts and whatever other designer clothes the girls could borrow from a friend the day they went to a top house

Even for the sororities that tend to have more money like aephi, axid, kkg, and pi phi, they do not like to see you wearing brands during recruitment. If you have it, no need to flaunt it. You will get into a sorority for your personality and who you are, definitely not for having money and showing it. Absolute turn off
