Chi o has practically been top house and gotten every single girl they wanted the past few years. They pulled a decent informal class for it being informal and bid a lot girls who already had friends in the house.
No chi o isn’t going to do as well as usual BUT people acting like pnms will choose lower tier chapters over chi o are absolutely delusional. I’d say pi phi kappa and aphi all now have a solid chance of being chosen over chi o by most pnms but chi o will still be chosen over the top mid houses 9 out of 10 times.
One year isn’t enough for a house to fall 22 spots and acting like it is won’t make pnms choose your mid tier house over chi o when they go though recruitment and chi o and gphi are by far and away the two coolest chapters

Sorry, you are completely wrong. Girls that were friends of XO's after the membership cleanse may have joined hoping to support their friends. But, new freshmen aren't in awe of an old dead rep. No matter what you try and tell them. Saying "we used to pair with XYZ frat" doesn't matter. You won't even be having pairs. You will have nationals scrutinizing every step you take. Maybe a legacies mom will pressure them to take a bid. But, freshmen in the know will realize this is a sinking ship.

Friends of girls in xo joined bc xo is a top house and they got lucky enough to get a bid as a sophomore without having to go through recruitment. Don’t kid yourself

The only thing desperate is the constant posts on here saying Chi o is irrelevant as though pnms won’t be able to tell who the top girls are when they go through recruitment

Reality when your Nationals pulls you at the LAST moment from recruitment! Your house has a definite PROBLEM!! Don't tell me sister,... that they are NOT watching everything going on with this chapter! This includes limitations on future PC classes. Enough said!!!

The type of girls that XO used to attract were partiers. There is no way that that type of pnm is going to opt for that chapter when there won't be any parties. There have been other chapters, like Theta for example, that did just fine without pairs because their typical pnm is someone who values academics and involvement over parties. XO won't translate as well without any socials.

And girls will still join xo for the name over any mid tier house no matter the situation in the actual house bc unfortunately pnms care about tiers over everything and xo is still at least top mid even with a missing pc. I think their pc this year will really depend on how hard they show out for recruitment, if they’re able to make pnms fall in love with them even half as much as usual they’ll easily stay top mid

Doubtful if those that accept bids drop when they realize the restrictions are not what they bargained for by going Greek.

Not in xo or a top house. Just being realistic you can act like your house is doing better than chi o all you want but we’ll see in a little over a month what the pcs look like
