difference axid theta aopi
by: TruthAxid Theta and Aopi seem to be very similar houses. The pledge classes looked identical. What is the difference?

For what it’s worth, Theta is the oldest sorority at IU. They have strong alumnae support and lots of wealthy alums even though the “outdated” condition of their house doesn’t reflect it. They are VERY strong nationally. Early on they were VERY sought after...social and old Indiana money. Now they are okay, but just sort of “there”. They do gets lots of legacies.
Alpha Xi has been on campus for several years, but they don’t have the wealthy alumnae that others have. They’ve always been pretty middle tier and have a very average to below national presence. However, they recruit from all over the place, have East Coast and Chicago-area girls and have always been a bit edgy.
AOPi is a re-do of a fairly old chapter that was closed over 20 years ago for inability to rush and maintain membership. Their Hdqtrs. gambled with a new house a few years later and they’ve done okay. They’re sort of a “safe” choice for very average small-town girls. Good grades, okay activities.

Axid is the best out of all 3, they have a lot of girls who were dropped from top houses but are still cool. Some axids will be at pi kapps, etc. theta tries to get into better frats but most of them settle for du. Aopi knows there place and are the most genuine of all the houses

For clarity, Theta is considered Upper Middle because they honestly don't give a crap about "pairs". The ladies in that chapter are there for sisterhood, academics and involvement. Most of them have boyfriends so they don't need to grovel for d at 2 am in some frat basement. Many of the members preffed at chapters considered much "higher" in the tier system but chose Theta because they prioritize other things over social. Don't judge that chapter based on your own value system. If partying is the end all be all for you, have it it and enjoy yourself.

lmao you know damn well theta girls did not “choose” theta over top tiers they just took what they could get when they got dropped from houses above them

I don’t think house GPA is a good reflection of the academic success of a chapter. Theta has much more kelley girls than those chapters so their GPAs are lower because they aren’t all just education or media like some other houses. This is even more true in fraternities
