2020 recruitment
by: sophomoreI am a sophomore going through 2020 sorority recruitment. If I have a 2.9 and I'm decent looking what are my chances of getting a bid to any of the houses.

It depends on how truly "hot" you are. The chapters that don't care about grades are the ones that are considered "tops" of the party ranks. So, you need to be 10/10 to be considered. The "mid tier" houses on the party rankings wouldn't consider you if you don't have at least a 3.0 or (for some snotty academic houses like ADPi, Theta or AOPi) even higher. If you are a VSecrets model candidate, you can probably get a bid at APhi or Kappa with a 2.9. But if you are average looking, you are out of luck.

You’ll be fine. You might not get the houses you want but you will get houses back/a bid. It honestly just depends on what the houses are looking for this year. Different houses look for different things ever year. The only people that know what house is looking for are the girls within a specific chapter. That’s all. Honestly don’t freak out about it.
