spring rush vs fall rush

Hello,

I am wondering if someone could give me some insight into the differences between fall and spring rush. I ended up not taking a bid this fall due to parents wanting me to focus on school however I have convinced them to let me rush again in spring.

I have heard with spring rush you need to know people to get a bid but I have also heard it is much less competitive. Could someone give me some insight here?

Spring rush is a joke. I know people that didn’t get a single bid in the fall and then got bids from Sig Chi and Pi kapps in the spring

spring is easier in a sense because it’s not dependent on high school connections anymore, it’s about the connections you make fall freshmen year. But then if you didn’t make connections fall then you’re not getting bids. spring takes less numbers so it’s more competitive than fall, and spring pledging is 2x worse than fall.

Like connections with people in houses or connections with other guys rushing? How are you even supposed to make connections with dudes in houses if you didn’t get a bid
