Those are the houses that have not signed the new Greek agreement. They are recognized chapters by their nationals and are part of ifc but do not affiliate with the university

They are not allowed to participate in rush

If they are still recognized by IFC and pay IFC dues, then they should be able to rush. I don’t see why university recognition has anything to do with it since IFC and not IU governs the rush process.

I wouldn’t risk rushing them, there’s no telling what the University will do to them since they’re not affiliated

University can’t touch them now. Rush there if you don’t want to worry about getting kicked or being put on probo

Rush there if you want to not be protected under ifc regulations

To freshman, not being university affiliated does not mean these house will get kicked soon. They are fully supported by their nationals, if anything these houses are safer than those affiliated with the university because they don’t have to abide by the same rules and regulations.

Yeah they think they’re disaffiliating when in reality they’re about to get slammed hard with probation and maybe kicked off. Don’t rush either places. Both are under investigation

Can’t be put on probation if they aren’t a university organization. That only applies to recognized chapters.

Can't get kicked off. Technically, they all ready are -- as in not recognized by the University. As long as they have national support, they are good to go. And they don't have to deal with the university BS calling "cleaning" and "car rides" hazing.

Their national can choose to remove them from campus at any time. Just because they aren't affiliated with IFC does not mean they have free reign to do as they please.

Obviously, just like any other Greek organization in the country. The point is that they don’t need to abide by IU’s and OSFL’s satanical reign that kicks off houses for minor things, which wouldn’t lead to suspension at other schools with big Greek life like Bama, Boulder, etc

Pledging these houses will be the worst experience ever 😂 IU is the only thing protecting pledges right now.

I know....just imagine how awful fraternity life would be without IU’s Orwellian attitude and Constitutional infringement! We probably would have 5 more of our 100 plus year old chapters still in existence

These houses are honestly in a better position than houses affiliated with IU - iu is the one causing all of the crackdowns and they are both supported by nationals. Don’t listen to the scare tactics by IU on here.
