3rd street elite
by: annaWhat is the 3rd street elite? I keep hearing about it and heard it has to do with the top houses. Can someone explain? I'm gonna be a freshman this year

It's basically the hottest and best sorority houses of IU that all live right next to each other on 3rd street - Kappa, Pi Phi, and Alpha Phi. Tri Delts used to be a part of it too until they got kicked off and some other weird sorority took over. Some people consider the frats on 3rd street apart of it too.

You are hearing old news. Third Street Elite is no more. it referred to a time when Third Street had a stronger Kappa Kappa Gamma, a housed and strong Pike chapter, Pi Phi, Alpha Phi, Tri Delta, ATO, a stronger Acacia, and Fiji all on a few blocks of Third Street.
Fiji lives on Woodlawn now. ATO and DDD are in the wind. Acacia is back but with nowhere near the prestige it used to have. Pike is unhoused now. And DphiE lives in the DDD house. I don't even think Alpha Phi is as good as it was in the past.

Nobody considers the frats apart of it. 3rd has the worst frats on campus
