Is it normal for there to be junior girls rushing sororities if they are transferring?

It’s not normal but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible. You’ll probably just get the same houses you would if you did informal

The chances of a Jr getting a bid are pretty darn slim. I would consider any informal party you can find in the fall and try and get a bid before formal in Jan. The chances of any chapter giving you a bid in January is extremely limited. You would probably only get 3 or 4 houses back after first rounds, at best.

only the houses that are doing informal now will probably be the ones who will invite you back in January... and you have a better chance with fall then spring because but hat point they will always preference younger girls because it is a better bid investment as they would have more time with the chapter. basically you should do informal now.
