rush advice

Do research on the fraternities you're interested in and what they stand for. Rush tables will give you a good vibe of what the guys are like. After rush tables, write down what houses you want to rush and go there during rush week. Don't rush only one house because it more than likely won't work. If you have friends in Greek life ask them about the different fraternities but don't bet on you getting a bid just because you have friends there.
Good luck fam

Bruh, this is a different beast. Depending on how in tune you are with your blackness, IFC might not be the place for you. Racism is real at IU but it is getting better. There are NPHC fraternities (historically black fraternity and sororities and home to the 2nd ever established here, Shout out Kappa Alpha Psi) If you feel comfortable being in a space with mostly white, upper-middle-class dudes, IFC can be lit but it comes with downsides.
Rush Tables are a good way to see most IFC fraternities, but I would also go to the involvement fair during welcome week. Just know this system is 175 years old and racism is hard to change, even if folks are willing.
Glad more Texans are making their way! Good luck, fam.
