She’s from Indiana... maybe we should be calling out culture and education in Indiana not teaching what Juneteenth is instead of her not knowing. I’m from Chicago and I knew, but a lot of my friends from Indiana hadn’t even met a black person until coming to IU bc they’re from such small towns... it’s not their fault for being uneducated and being from non-diverse areas. Maybe TEACH THEM instead of making them feel bad simply for not knowing.
