status on chi o?!

SERIOUSLY? 40? I knew their Hdqtrs. had cleaned house, and with no pledge class and the seniors gone I figured they’d be down to maybe 90.
But, I knew many were booted and many others resigned their membership. So maybe 40-50 is about right. They’re under “guardianship” for 2 years with a Headquarters alum standing guard. I also heard their recruitment “choices” would be pretty heavily scrutinized.
It’ll be a NEW and DIFFERENT Chi O fior sure. Who they’ll recruit against will be interesting: AOPi, AXiD, Phi Mu?

^ Couldn't be 90 mathematically. They made quota each year, seniors graduated. So 55+56 would be 111 in a perfect world. However, we know that quite a few were sent packing by Nationals, then their friends dropped. Once the social punishments and the new world order came down from Nationals, a few more dropped. Who knows how many will drop over the summer? I would estimate 60 in the high end, 45 on the low end will show up and move in welcome week. I will be curious to see the exact numbers and how many women they take in the fall. They will need some of them to move in right away unless most of the girls living in are paying extra for single rooms.

^^^ So with maybe 50 (?) in the House next year, they’ll be hurting for revenue. They still have to pay utilities, pay a cook and pay for upkeep.
Just because they NEED more girls in, I don’t see how upperclass women picked up in the fall can just move in.
They can’t just break dorm contracts and leases without a big financial penalty.

XO could pay the breakage fee to the university which will be minimal because the university has a housing shortage right now due to the mold and still come out ahead financially. Also, if there are girls who inquire about transferring and re-affiliating over the summer, you know they will be welcomed with open arms regardless of which chapter they are coming from. Getting women to move in after break in January will still be a financial bonus for them.

You can break an apartment lease if you find someone to sublet your spot.

I don't think XO is hurting for money. I know that Tri Delta could have left their house empty for a whole year and still had the money to pay the bills.

They will recruit against the same houses like Pi Phi and give a bid to the same type of "rich" girl that has a heart beat.

Chi O hasn't worried about GPA in the past....don't imagine they will care now

The old XO didn't care about grades, and you're missing the point. Nationals is in charge now, the women will have no say in who is given bids this fall. Nationals will look for girls with good GPAs and who DO NOT make parties a priority. There is a National person living in with them at all times, possibly more than one. I am hearing that a former XO leadership consultant decided to go to grad school at IU and she will be living in, as well. The new XO will have no social schedule and two of the frats the girls are friends with are now gone: Kappa Sig and Beta. Things look bleak.
