Rushing more the better is awful advice. You should find around 4-5 houses you can see yourself in before rush starts whether it be through people you know or your experiences during rush tables / open rush events. You should try to stay at these 4-5 houses the longest and talk to a bunch of active members. You can eliminate houses that you had awful conversations at or don't see yourself a fit in. If you barely stay at rush events hosted by chapters, you probably won't get a bid. That's why I wouldn't suggest rushing a bunch of houses.

By more I mean 5-7 I don’t mean 12 diff frats. Idk bout u guys but everyone Ik who rushed went to only 2-3 diff houses so that’s the standard I’m taking about when I mean “the more the better.” Also a vast majority of houses do not like new kids, zbt aepi and Fiji are prime examples of this. Maybe houses like beta sig lmao

Rush as many houses that u think u can spend enough time and leave impression at. Don’t just show face at a bunch no one will Rember you. I would say spend the first two days of rush tryna get around to houses, make an impression, and see what you vibe with. Then narrow down houses you want to go back to based on your expensive the first days. Go back to houses you vibed with and houses that invited you back. If someone is texts you it shows they are interested and hence have a higher chance of giving you a bid so keep that in mind while choosing where to go back.

It’s all about talking to the right people and not sticking around at any one house for too long. I think the optimal scenario is talking to no more than 15 guys and making sure those include the most important ones. If you can make an impression on the right guys and don’t make a fool out of yourself with the others you will be happy come bid time. If you feel like you spent a really good 30-45 minutes at a house don’t risk being there a ton more time because you could start to have awkward convos with guys and that’s the #1 that will kill you.
