where should i rush??
by: FreshmanHey guys, I’m an incoming freshman at iu and I’m a legacy here for phi delta and phi psi. What are the stereotypes associated with both? Where should I rush if I still value academics? Thanks

Phi delt a big east coast house. Phi delt is better socially and long established. Phi Psi has a lot of history on this campus but were kicked off a couple years back, they are getting their house back next semester. In terms of academics, they are both similar. Phi Psi would have an easier pledgeship though, in regards to academics.

Phi delt is already well established so if you’ve got a reliable friend it, their description of past pledgeships will probably be similar to yours. They’re known for decent grades, caring about parties, and they have more of a degenerate side in the best sense. Fun patio and a standard frat house. Your pledgeship would probably be easier/less stressful in phi psi. That’s good for grades although Idk how they are academically overall. Their future pledgeships will be harder as they get more selective. I think their house setup and current stereotype would project them to be more socially focused/less top gpa. Phi delt is a great house and a safe bet for the typical upper mid fraternal experience and maybe eventually lower top. Phi psi is a wildcard and fastest moving fraternity with lots of social potential. You won’t go wrong either way.
