greek life will be fine

by: Greek Cycle

Greek life will be fine at IU. It may just move on with out certain houses that get shut down for a time period....It all runs in cycles.... for instance in 2001 Alpha Sig was where the Christian House is now on the extension. They were viewed as one of the top houses on campus and they were kicked.... now they are rehoused 18 years later and starting over. What Greek Life needs to understand is that no house is irreplaceable. What’s hot today may not be in four years. Think about it Tri-Delts used to be viewed as one of the tops. Now there is a group of freshmen that have experienced Greek life without Tri-Delts. Next year will be another year and they will be more illrelevamt. Just like every house on this list you are only relevant as long as you remain Chartered. There will always be the rise and fall of Greek Houses but that does not signal the downfall of Greek Life.... there is almost always a Fraternity/Sorority waiting and willing to fill your shoes..... never think a house is irreplaceable because each and every one is....

While I agree with what you’re saying ending a paragraph on an ellipses is the most annoying thing to do

The moral of the story is don't pick a house based on "tier" or reputation. Because it always changes. Find a house where you love the people and that will stay with you for the rest of your lives.

Can't really tell which is top house because sites like greek rank does not exist yet. But my cousin went to IU in 1998 and yes alpha sig was one of the popular party place.
