how did dphie only get 13???
by: ??honestly confused because the house is cute and they seemed nice enough. plus there were a billion girls desperate for bids? would they really rather have gone bid-less than dphie?

I just don’t understand the constant need from people to post negatives about these so-called lower tier houses. You claim these houses are irrelevant and don’t matter - yet they seem to be all that’s on your (small) minds.
You can’t have it both ways. You can’t claim there houses are irrelevant and them post about them constantly.
Don’t you realize that these types of posts say more about you than they ever could about these girls or their houses? Clearly, you don’t, given the small minds.

People simply don’t understand that if a handful of chapters fall, that just one more dagger in EVERYbody’s coffin. You should WANT these supposedly “lower tier” houses to flourish. We need critical mass. It’s a lot harder for an adminstrstion to displace tthousands out of a Greek system than it is hundreds. If we want to exist, every time one goes down, another has to take its place and thrive. Otherwise, our numbers decrease, as does our leverage and power.

The numbers that Lower tier chapters pull in at IU during informal are truly impressive.
At most schools missing quota by a significant % does not translate to getting a large NM class through informal .
All the lower tier should take a bow, truly well done.
And it leads me to believe that the upper tiers are selling themselves TOO well during formal recruitment. Such a large % of PNMs wouldn’t be thinking they were DESTINED to be.an ABC if ABC wasn’t brainwashing them to believe that. I get it , ABC wants a super high return rate, but making every girl believe she is a lock on getting a bid for your chapter is just wrong .

hi, i really wanted to clarify that the point of this post was not, in any way, to shame or bash dphie. when i went through recruitment i liked it there very much, and just wound up preffing another chapter. i was simply trying to understand why other people didn't like it as much as i did.
i think dphie is a wonderful group of girls and truly wish them the best. this site is so quick to judge and alienate and as a greek community we need to be supporting each other, especially when so many chapters are getting kicked off. i truly wish that more people gave dphie a chance this year.

why don't you just leave them alone, focus on yourself. wish them well and move on. There is very little support for one another top, mid, bottom whatever in IU greek system. Sad there are so many shallow people. Build up your system, you are losing many chapters due to selfish and ignorant people who are doing criminal things to fellow chapter members. Maybe focus on that !
Figure out how to be kinder and respectful

Those people were forced to go to their pref by the recruitment rules. But they suicided on their bid card because being a herd is far more preferable that being associated with DPhiE. Sad truth.
