P..S. Quota additions being optional in past years (and not even used at all prior to 3-4 years ago) was the reason women would go to pref , write down all their options and still not get a bid.
Also each house set their own quota up until 3-4 years ago . So DDD would take 30 while adpi took 60-80 simply because adpi has a bigger house. And that’s right my friends the majority of why adpi is tiered lower because they have a larger house . And guess who ran all over campus saying the smallest house was best.....DDD
Unlike any other campus smaller was considered better at IU, and that thought prioress left 100-300 women who attended pref Bidless..... NPC has been trying to force IU Panhellenic to change for years.
This history is WHY so many women on here say if you get a bid to any house take it and make that house better.
If you are invited to any COB events go and give that house a fair chance.

Snap bids are given out the same day as Bid day. A girl must have dropped out of recruitment in order to get a snap bid. You will be contacted several hours prior to gong to the tennis center. You will also have to decide on the spot whether or not to accept the snap bid. If you accept, you’ll show up at the tennis center with everyone else, recurve a bid card and no one other than the chapter and. The Rho Gam know you are a snap.

Great explanation in the answer above. Most important point is don't expect a snap bid. These rarely happen. Hundreds of women dropped recruitment and are eligible whereas there may only be a handful of snaps extended. However, if you are regretting your decision to drop consider COB or informal. Many more women join a chapter this way. The door is still open for those of you who are already regretting having dropped. For those that take a chance on a chapter through COB or informal, you will probably look back next year and laugh at how foolish it was to drop. You will love your sisters and your chapter--even though it may not have been your favorite during these past two weeks. It all depends on how much you really want to be Greek.

Snap bidding occurs immediately following the bid-matching process, which includes quota additions if applicable, and ends at the time bids are distributed. Chapters not matching to quota are
eligible to snap bid. Chapters should prepare a snap bid list after submitting their bid list. PNMs who are unmatched and participated in at least one recruitment event are eligible to receive a snap bid. A PNM may be offered more than one snap bid at a time, so it is best for the fraternity/sorority advisor
or the College Panhellenic president to be the person contacting PNMs. The individual should make it clear to the PNM how many opportunities she is receiving and that she will be bound to the selection if she chooses to accept. During snap bidding, the College Panhellenic recruitment officer monitors who
has accepted snap bids and presents the MRABA for the PNM to sign.
