Nationals not allowing their chapter to take a new member class is super rare. The only times I’ve ever seen it happen are when the chapter did something so bad that their nationals doesn’t trust them not to cause serious injury to/kill their new members. Otherwise you at least let them finish recruitment and just put them on social probation.
I have no idea what Chi O did but it must’ve been BAD to have nationals pull them from recruitment entirely.

it wasn’t their nationals, wasn’t their headquarters. Stop spreading rumors., chi o chose to pull themselves out of rush as to not lead pnms on. actually a pretty responsible move on their part. there’s be uproar if they pulled a tri delt and knowingly took girls in knowing that they could potentially kicked off

Nationals make the decision. Not the chapter itself. Don’t go blaming the chapter for the timeline of everything. They can pull the rug out from under you in a matter of seconds without any warning and you have to comply.

The statement from their National talks about them not condoning Hazing, bullying or and act that causes emotional or physical pain. Hazing and bullying doesn’t just apply to pledges. You can still haze or bully actives.

^ actually it’s exactly that, they said they thought it would be unfair to have pnms join and not be able to meet at the house (just as all other houses on C&D are unable to do.) what’s the point of taking in a new class if the class wouldn’t be able to meet one another or the older girls. sensible decision on their part

Yes, it’s definite. Chi O Hdqtrs. shut down their rush cold. Something HAS to be up to result in this.
I HOPE Panhellenic is meeting to help all the girls who had made choices to go back to Chi O, were legacies, etc. figure out a Pref. schedule that gives them choices.
This is breathtaking...in a horrible way. Shades of Tri Delta!
