can i get a bid as a sophomore?

Hey guys,
I am currently a freshman and didn't rush this year because I wanted to focus on my gpa (I have a 3.9). However I'd like to be in a fraternity because I'd like to find a group of guys that I like and have the experience of doing fun stuff and being in a brotherhood. I've seen conflicting views on this, but would it be possible to get a bid to a mid/upper mid house as a sophomore? Specifically, I plan on rushing SAE, ZBT, Beta, and PhiDelt. Would I have a chance at any of these houses if I'm confident, dress/talk well, and really want to get to know the guys?

Unless you know a ton of guys or are very close with a few guys in those houses you honestly have a low chance of even getting invited back once. It's really hard for freshman and gdi's to understand the tier system but top doesn't mean good and bottom doesn't mean bad. Yeah a top house will likely throw more "rager" type parties than a bottom house but if you have a 3.9 you probably value grades over wild parties four nights a week. Check out bottom or lower middle houses that have good gpas like sig ep or if you don't care about house gpa check out other bottomish houses like dchi, du, lamba
