Honestly if the tiers were just a littttlllee more flexible/lenient, these could be possibilities which I think would be pretty cool because then you get to pair more often with different chapters. Unfortunately the culture here won’t change though.

I am in a "top tier" and would love if we would pair with different fraternities. I have guy friends from home in all different frats and would love to be able to pair with them sometimes.

The problem is that tiers are not really a thing, it is all fiction and subjective. If IU wants to step out of the past and ensure greek life survives on campus and actually thrives, they should do forced pairs. If everyone paired with everyone else the quality of every frat and sorority would be better. The greek community would actually be a community. Most campuses use this practice and there does not seem to be the problems that exist, as they do here.
