I also don't think SK would want another short term lease. If the owner would be willing to renovate this semester and next year, sign a long term 10 year lease, then SK might be interested. Think of the money they can bank renting while the university decides when to OK building.

The university will never OK building. Look at what is happening with SLL and Greek Life rn. There is no chance the school will give Greek life any more land or it would have been approved already. IU hates Greek life why would they ever give you land for a house?

You don’t get it. Phi psi is not coming back, at least not in the form you know. Fraternity houses are slowly getting phased out by IU, and the administration will allow them to exist but in a far different form. Little boys can’t seem to learn that there are consequences for their actions. SK will have its pick of any frat maybe as soon as next year.

The house has a history of bad luck to anyone who leases it. Doesn't matter how it's fixed up, it's still bad. I would be very curious to any unhoused frat/sorority who maybe considering it. Think of your chapter's future.

I don't get all the Sigma Kappa hate. They have accomplished a whole lot in the three years they have been here. Why can't everyone be happy for them, for TPA for getting a house, for DPhiE for getting a house? The Greek system, as a whole, is only as strong as the weakest member. If we all built each other up, think how great we could all be.
I hope they (SK) get a forever house. I hope that all the unhoused chapters find the best housing solution for them as a chapter. As the fraternities self destruct, let's work together to make sure that sorority life at IU remains strong in the future.

SK would kill for that house. It's an opportunity for a permanent house. They could sign a long term lease there and never have to worry about a fraternity coming back
