reference letters
by: pnmI've been checking a lot of sorority websites that leave an option for a reference letter. How important are these letters? Are they really considered when girls are going through rush? Because I will actually have none.

Some chapters require them to extend bids, but if they like you enough they will find an alumna to sponsor you. Recs are helpful but not necessary at other chapters. Other chapters place no value in them at all. It depends on the chapter; however, by now, it's too late. The deadlines for the letters have passed and chapters are now much less likely to look at them if at all, even if you were able to come up with one on short notice. At this point, don't worry about what you don't have and focus on the conversations during recruitment. You will be okay.
