If you think you want to be with those girls, you’re wrong. They don’t follow any rules, they are obsessed with their looks and money, they arent anything special, and they were everything a real sorority isn’t. They were practically a cult. Stop giving them the time of day. I’m happy that they are off campus as well as the rest of Greek life

It’s crazy how jealous everyone on here is of Tri Delt... I’m not in tri delt, I’m in another house, but everyone bashing them on here is so wrong. It’s extremely evident that they have a very strong sisterhood - stronger than many sororities that are still on campus - based off the fact that they STILL live together and still have events together as sisters... I would bet that many sororities in their situation would not remain as close knit as they have. My sorority would 100% not survive if we were kicked off. So clearly everyone on here is just jealous that they have maintained their status after getting kicked off and just wants to move their own sorority up/wishes they were as well liked as these girls. If freshmen want to join them, let them!!! If they are legitametly looking to add to their sisterhood and you know the answers to these freshmen’s question’s, answer them!! If these girls feel like they belong in “Tri Delt”, if you know they’re actually doing a rush event let them be instead of shooting them down. I don’t know if they’re actually planning to do anything but if you do know, just say it instead of being rude and bashing them. They’re clearly doing just fine on their own.

Don’t blame a girl who wants to join a group that was highly sought after when Greek life is practically nothing here at this point. It would be one thing if it was 5 years ago when people came to iu for the legendary Greek life. If the girls are still close, still do as much if not more than other houses socially, then why wouldn’t a freshman be curious about that? Go where you fit in. If that is tridelt, go for it. I don’t understand the hate

the sad thing about this is that any girl who tries to join underground chapters will think they're on the same level as the real tri delts, but it will never be the same. Even if the old members made them learn about tri delta things and go through tri delta initiation, it will not hold any weight for any real tri delta member, and they will not have the same sort of bond as initiated sisters. If you want to be friends with these girls, that's great! Go ahead! Make as many friends with anyone you want, but don't pretend that you're in a group you're never going to be a part of just because you want to claim that identity you're not entitled to.

It also baffles me that people on here use the "they have such close friendships" excuse for girls wanting to join. Like okay...can these quasi-pnms not make their own close friendships? You don't need to be in a clique to have super close friends with a group of girls. Just...make friends. It almost sounds like all of those "elite private school mean girl books" we all ready in middle school. Like you don't need to be in "The Pretty Committee" to have fun and make friends.
