what are my chances of getting into a house if my gpa is below a 3.0?

Depends on the house and the rush chair for the year. If they're trying to bring the house GPA up youre kinda boned but a 3.0 isn't going to stop them if they like you enough.

There are different GPA requirements for each house. If you are under their specific one you will probably get cut the first round. Those range from a 2.8 to a 3.2 and there are different ones for freshmen and sophomores. But if you make it past the first round, your gpa doesn't really matter for most houses, but every house is different.
