Yes, It's worth it. I pledged as a sophomore. Did certain chapters cut me because I wasn't a first year, yeah some did. But the ones who invited me back wanted to give me a chance. I had fewer invitations that the other girls on my floor until pref, then I had the same as everyone else. I ended up in a chapter I loved because I had fewer choices to cloud my judgement earlier on in the process. GPA is important as a sophomore, too. If it's good, you should be ok. Good luck!

I agree with this completely. I rushed as a sophomore and ended up in a house I really fit in at. There are some houses that cut sophomores early and some that don't. The reason for this is money and dues and one less year that sophomore would be paying. But the most important thing is to keep an open mind and remember that YOU ONLY NEED 1 HOUSE! Don't drop unless you 100% cannot see yourself in any of the houses you have remaining. And we were taught not to ask sophomores if they rushed as a freshman or if they didn't make grades. Being cut from houses in the beginning isn't really a bad thing because you have less houses to go to during 16 party and aren't as tired. And also don't compare yourself to others!
