I disagree. It shows in rank order how people in the middle tier are performing. Those at the higher end are doing better than those at the lower end. At the end of the day, it works to break down barriers established by the greek system while still allowing for the ‘tier system’ that we’ve created here at IU. It makes those on top look even better, and those on bottom look... well.. where they really are socially. Meanwhile it lets the rest of us have a fair competition, if you don’t like where you fall in the middle tier, keep climbing. I’m not trying to say that people in the old lower-mid and upper-mid are the same, but I think looking at it from this perspective does more good than harm.

That's the issue, people won't realistically LET the tiers change.

For example, there is no realistic chance that ZTA is still top tier. They have almost been shut down by their national.Their philanthropy event used to be one of the best ones on campus, now it's just average. They used to be a highly desired group by PMNs, not so last year. They didn't make quota, they gave out both snap bid and COBs. So how is ZTA still considered top tier?

Theta is another example. Pledge classes are very average. Social calendar is going to be nonexistent after the SNU and Sigma Pi incidents. No one has any idea what their philanthropy does or what it is. They belong in the bottom tier.

Let the chapters that are not what they used to be fall (ZTA, Theta, DG, SDT). Also, give the chapters on the rise some credit too (AEPhi, SK, Kappa, TPA).
