sophomores rushing
by: TruGirls planning on rushing again next year--ignore all the people posting saying you have no chance getting a bid. Chances are you won't get a top house, but for mid to low you'll have just as good a chance as freshmen so don't worry too much

I went in open minded this year, had them through pref round and then got a bid from a different house. Just don't really know what to do and looking for advice.

Some houses have a "once cut, always cut" rule during recruitment, so your re-rushing will not allow you return invites to those homes (after open round, of course). A similar rule against prior pref invitees who do not receive their house's bid may be in place for a few houses. We don't have the private recruitment requirements and formulas for each IU group, but as others mention the wider your perspective toward being a hard-working member of ANY group the better your chance of being able to grab a second bid success.

Honestly I have friends who re rushed and got top houses but I have friends who re rushed and got nothing. It honestly depends on the year, who you talk to, and if you are a sophomore with friends in the house try to go out with them and meet a ton more girls there.

If you go through with your heart set on any particular house, especially an extremely competitive one, you are poised for disappointment. It does not matter if you are a legacy or you know members, you are much better served going in open minded.
