They could double recruitment this year during informal if they had a house. I'd like to see them succeed and not fail. We really need more houses.

Word on the street is handful of sororities have votes coming up on whether to pursue living there while renovations are done on their own houses. SDT, GPhi, Phi Mu, maybe

First of all, Phi Mu's house is not old and does not need updating. It's already nice. If they want to do work on it, it won't be anything that can't be done during a summer. SDT did reno this summer. Kappa Delta just got approved for some reno but I am not sure how much they are doing.

DPhiE probably won't bc they bid for the Sammy and phi psi houses and lost both so the girls are kind of over the getting a house thing atm

Dphie needs a house in order to move forward for a stronger chapter and future here at IU. Every recruitment will garner low numbers until they have a house. Period. The living-in a physical house experience adds tremendously to the bonds with sisters AND respect from the Greek community. It just does. They need to get support to rent the Delt house from national. Then recruit like hell. It won't be easy, but they have a chance to change course.

Even if DPhiE is able to get the DTD house, it is only temporary until Delts return in 5 years. After which, DPhiE will be unhoused again.

no, you dont have to move out unless youre doing a full on renovation like AGD. and why would they sign a 5 year lease on another house. renovations would only take about a year.
