Theta Phi Alpha - ΘΦΑ Sorority Ratings at IU

Theta Phi is filled with amazing, diverse, friendly women. They're always welcoming and empowering. Recruitment was not easy, but anytime I talked to a girl from TPA, I always felt better and more at ease. They make life fun and are supportive no matter what. This chapter is great and continues to prove how much they care about one another and their sisterhood!

Everyone I have met from TPA has been incredibly kind. They hype each other up all the time and I have seen sisters show up when there is an emergency, even if they aren't close with the person having the emergency. They are also very involved in PHA, especially with the PHA DEI initiatives

To preface: I went through rush twice. The first time through was so overwhelming and it was so hard to see chapters as individuals rather than just pieces of a PHA puzzle. After taking time off and figuring out what I wanted from a sisterhood, I came back and found my forever home. Theta phi wants women who don’t want to conform to some unreal expectation. They love “real” girls who aren’t afraid to show their full selves during recruitment. I’m so glad I stayed, because I wouldn’t be who I am today without it.

I joined this sorority last year. The people there are incredibly genuine and make me comfortable to just be myself. The girls are so kind a genuinely care about one another. I feel that I can reach out to anyone in this chapter and ask for help or just have someone to talk to. I am so glad I joined :)

when i first got a bid, i absolutely thought i was going to drop. im so so happy i stuck it out because as ive gotten to know everyone in this chapter, TPA has some of the most genuine and kind girls ive ever met. everyone is so supportive and they take inclusion and making everyone feel welcome very important, and thats why i love it here. being unhoused can be a deterrant to some, but personally i LOVE the freedom of living in an apartment and it makes it a lot easier to balance social life outside of a sorority and not feel so restricted. if you want a group of the most down to earth girls youll ever meet, rush theta phi!!!

TPA is where I can be my best self. Going through recruitment was a scary time but I just trusted the process and I found my family within TPA! I am so grateful for them:)

In my experience looking into TPA, then becoming one I was honestly a little hesitant about not having a house and it tending to be looked down upon when compared to the "top tier" sororities. Despite that, I figured why not, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The girls are so genuine and have absolutely no problems being themselves, whether it's in a breakout room for zoom recruitment, to an owa owa in chapter, or sitting in classes. No matter where or what you're doing TPA girls know how to make you smile and laugh & they always have a great time.

I had the opportunity to meet some of the women in TPA this past weekend, and I had so much fun. The entire time I was with the chapter I was laughing and getting to know them. It felt so natural and I could tell the second I got on their zoom that they have such a strong and empowering sisterhood. Good luck with recruitment ladies!!

Some people think of TPA not having a house as a bad thing for clout, but on the real that’s the best thing about it is it’s not live in and all of the girls are super genuine and social.
