sorority

I am a international student and I am attending MSU this fall.
Since we don't have sororities where I come from I don't really know much about it.

Do you get many friends if you get in to a sorority?
What sororities are the best? I don't mean the top tier houses, I mean based on friendliness, (I'm not gonna lie) popularity also matters and parties?
Does sororities party a lot?
Also, what do you do in a sorority?
