when would be the better time to rush

by: MSU

Just wondering, would I have a greater chance receiving a good bid during my Freshmen Spring Semester or Sophomore Fall Semester? Does a student's year play a huge difference? Thank you.

I'd go with your sophomore fall semester. You'd have a bigger pool of houses to go to, and most houses take in a few sophomores every year.

There's bros and cons to both. Getting a bid in the spring is definitely easier, but at the same time it kindah sucks to have to wait all summer to gain the benefits of being an initiated brother. Fall bids are harder to come by, due to the immense amount of kids that come out to rush, but it gives you this whole spring to decide which house you want to be in and try to make connections. Plus you'll be closer with sororities due to the groupmes you'll have with the babies
