when to rush

Hey so I’m an incoming freshman and I want to be in a sorority but I have some other commitments that would keep me from rushing until my sophomore year. I’ve heard that there is a stigma with rushing your as a sophomore. Does anyone know if that’s true? If it helps I’m a legacy for two sororities and can get letters of recomandation for three more.

If you already feel like you can’t commit to a sorority, then don’t bother with rush. Sororities are a huge time commiitment (but 100% worth it). Wait till sophomore year. If you really click with a house, they’ll keep asking you back and they won’t care if you’re a sophomore.

It’s too late to sign up for recruitment this year anyway. You have to sign up weeks in advance
