please could you make a rank of the importance that all the sororities of sdsu give to the studies?from those who care more about them and those who care less their degrees?not the typical hot rank!and another question, is there is a sorority which cares about studies but also about having fun with their sisters..because that will be the perfect balance so i would like to know

the main reason people come to sdsu is study..i'm in a sorority and we study and party too. i won't make a rank because i don't know what the others study, but in my sorority our priority is the sisterhood and our studies,and we also have fun :) people who says that sdsu is only for party is really stupid,it's like people who hates every sorority here because they didn't get a bid hahhahahha don't listen them!we know how to party but we know that our studies are important...

i don't want to join a sorority for academics....you don't understand anything,i want to live that experience because i think it will be amazing,meeting new people,being with them as a sisterhood,also having fun of course,but people who study difficult majors also love party and friends...i won't be studying all the time,and i will have free time to stay with the sisters of the sorority..

I assume that most sororities don't care all that much about academics for rush. Frankly, I doubt many here care for any greek org. I would say there is a strong correlation between not smart and top house. The comments here seem to confirm that. I recently graduated, wasn't in a top house either. I had a good time, and did pretty well academically and am in a top level grad school now. You need to just rush, you can figure out who will be best for you. Outside looking in, G Phi, KD, and DZ seemed to have girls with relevant majors, but I don't know there grad rates.

I agree . The houses with girls who have real majors and actually do well tend to be Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Delta and Delta Zeta. If you are really serious about school, I would go with one of those, or skip the sorority experience. That is my honest opinion, and I know a lot about the subject. Honestly, the "top" houses tend to have girls who are communications majors, and they take 6 years to graduate if they ever graduate. I'm in a "top" house and it is a lonely island being one of the 5 people in the whole house who has a real major. Sorry, but true.
