greek life at sdsu

by: Greek

Do students in Fraternities/Sororities actually believe they're living the actual greek life?Is greek life vanishing at sdsu? Is there a way to strengthen the greek system at SDSU? As a whole I feel the greek community is falling downhill...

Greek life is not vanishing at SDSU, people who believe that are Sig Chi's or are not top houses. This is the truth. Strengthen Greek life by joining it.

SDSU is a party school, but is crippled by the administration that targets greek life. Many punishments come from improper permitting for loud noise and alcohol. The officers need to be fluent in paperwork to file all the paperwork for that. Alumni influence a lot, but how many of us contact our Alums for things other than donor dollars and Founders Day? Keep them in the loop, and they can pressure the administration. And stop talking about the pledge process, no one else cares but the school about how hard things are. You are inviting the problems. And pregame, and attend SDSU sports, it's a free day of partying, I don't know why this isn't utilized more. Fraternity men, ask a Sorority girl to accompany you, or do a house exchange for a game, and pregame it and escort them there. Call me crazy, but it is a good time.

Greek life here has been rough for the past 4-5 years, but with all the new sororities and fraternities coming back on campus there is a real shot at greek life flourishing in the upcoming years.
