sigma chi is one of the most prolific frats nationally. sae is bigger but have a lot of really bad publicity lately. isn't phi delt a little low on the list though? i thought they were supposed to be HUGE.

Yeah phi delt is huge nationally.

Should actually be at the bottom, terrible nationally.

AEPi has been stronger because of Mark Zuckerberg (and Rondae Hollis Jefferson at UA) but they still suck nationally. Switch them with Phi Delt, maybe and Pike/KA should be tied.

Who cares. AEPi still sucks even if Mark Zuckerberg wasn't a member.

This is seriously laughable......Kappa Sig!!!????? Yes, they have many chapters but on most campuses they are complete choads. In fact, I cant think of one school other than AZ where they are top tier. Here is the real list. 1. Sigma Chi, 2. SAE. 3. Beta Theta Pi 4. Phi Delta Theta 5. Pi Kappa Alpha 6. DKE's 7. Sig Ep 8. Sigma Nu 9. ATO and 10. Lambda Chi. Throw in TKE and FIJI for good measure.

Well, I work in college marketing including Greek Letter Organizations and can say Kappa Sigma is a strong house nationally along with some of the other fraternities you mention. Some of the houses on your list may be questionable, like DKE, TKE and ATO. What is that based on? Quantity is not quality.

Off the top of my head, 'big' schools where Kappa Sigma is an upper to top house: Arkansas - Baylor - Clemson - Colorado - Duke - FSU - Indiana - Iowa - Kansas - Kentucky - LSU - Mississippi State - North Carolina - Ohio State - Oklahoma - Ole Miss - Purdue - TCU - Tennessee - Texas - Wisconsin - Virginia

A few of the above may have gotten on sopro or under sanctions/kicked off this quarter/semester but still have a strong chapter as recognized by the student body. I am also not as familiar with the Western schools because that's not my area and we don't really have a lot of campaigns there anyway but I believe the Kapa Sigs are very good at schools like Stanford, Oregon, UNLV, Long Beach State, UCI and ASU (kicked off?).

I can rattle off schools where some of the other top fraternities like SAE and Sigma Chi are nationally as well as the top sororities...

DKE's may be the most blue blood fraternity in the country. They have a brownstone alumni facility in Manhattan specifically for DKE's and it is stunning. They have the most presidents in our country's history and their alumni are a virtual who's who in corporate America. DKE is absurdly strong especially at the Ivy's.

and??

deke might have a lot of famous and powerful alumni but so do the other big frats. and it does not mean deke is a top house on college campuses nationally. in fact, deke is pretty small compared to sae. can you tell us the schools where deke is the top house?

btw frats are not as big of a deal in the ivy league as supper clubs and secret societies. you seriously don't have a clue.

I grew up near Princeton, NJ so I know all about supper clubs and my brother was a member in T.I. so please shut your hole. And you are dead wrong about fraternal influence on Ivy campuses. Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn etc. all have heavy greek scenes. If you were actually from the east coast you would understand how prominent DKE is.

Alpha Sig, ZBT, and Sammy shouldn't even be on there if we are talking about National Ranks.

KA and Theta Chi have a way stronger National rank than Aepi and Beta. KA runs the SEC and most East Coast schools. Theta Chi has a strong national rep and they have so much notable alumni that donate back to their nationals.

I would also switch Kappa Sig to #4 and move Pike to #3. Pike is well-known for being a top house and they just about have a chapter at every college.

But I think the OP meant to rank the U of A frats based on their presence here and national?

I am Pike and we have over 260 chapters and another 25 or so colony's. The goal is to be over 300 chapters in the next 5 years and it looks like it will probably happen. Whether you think we suck or not is a matter of personal preference. I happen to think we have great guys and we all have fun together and in the end that is what its all about.

Pike gets knocked on by a lot of guys in other fraternities but the simple fact is they are very sweet, have a bunch of hot guys, no drama and are lots of fun. Girls love them.
