drops
by: TruthSo let's take a second and think rationally about houses doing spring rush. Some houses doing spring rush are doing it because their numbers are below what they should be. Need I remind you houses like alpha phi and gamma phi beta each took over 100 girls for the last 3 years in a row. To be low on numbers means there is a possibility nationals will pull the chapter due to lack of memberships and dues being paid. I can 100% garuntee you aphi and Gphi are doing just fine with their numbers. They would have to have 200 girls drop for there to be a problem. So, who can come up with a better lie/rumors to make houses look bad because you're salty AF or have nothing better to do?

Chapters are only allowed to participate in spring rush if they are below house total. The reasons that a house is below house total can vary greatly. It could be because of drops, it could be because they had a lot of seniors graduate, it could be because girls transferred schools, etc... And if a chapter had a lot of drops it could be for many legit reasons. Realistically, there is only one house at U of A that has a "numbers" problem. And they have been around long enough that they may still be financially sound and not in danger of losing their chapter at all.

My favourite girls come from spring recruitment! You have a much better and longer period of time to get to know them. People only make a big deal because they love tearing down top houses like Aphi and Gphi. Let alone the people trying to make Aphi and Gphi have beef with each other... Word to the bottom tier, top tier houses actually tend to like each other because we have a lot in common/respect for each other.

The OP said that "some" of the houses doing spring rush are doing it because of low numbers. My point is that ALL of the houses taking girls in the spring are lower than house total. But I also don't want any PNM to view that as a bad thing.
