new ua sorority

The numbers would support probably 2 new houses but the problem is that most students at U of A are from Arizona or California and the houses that are popular in these areas are already represented. So any sorority coming in has the odds stacked against them. The only 2 that might have a chance are ZTA or KD.

It's so weird that ppl favor specific sororities that have never been at UA before. what difference does it make if it's phi mu or dz or kd? they will all go through the same colonization process and will be a bottom feeder sorority for at least a few years. their nationals and alumnae presence are pretty much the same. makes zero difference which one we get.

No, we haven't. Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Zeta, Tri SIgma and many others were never at Arizona or it has been so long that there is no cultural memory whatsoever of them ever being at the UofA.
Does anyone even remember what Alpha Omicron Pi was like? Zeta Tau Alpha? Alpha Xi Delta? Sigma Delta Tau? I don't think so. I agree that a new sorority would just be a name and the chapter would define its own identity and succes.

Tri delt is kind of weird on most campuses. I think it is more rare when Tri delt is a top house.
AOPi seems to do best on smaller campuses. I don't know if there is enough southern influence for Phi Mu to do well here.
