I remember reading somewhere that we couldn't carry purses during recruitment is this true haha

You don't need to bring all your crap with you during recruitment. You're not allowed to have a purse. You get a ziplock Baggie for your phone and maybe some powder and whatever tiny miscellaneous items you need. Your RC will explain all of this to you next week, you should really stay off greek rank for the next few weeks...
