how far will a rec get you?

A family member of mine is going to write me a rec for one of the sororities on campus... how much does this increase my chances of getting a bid to that sorority? How will this put me above the other girls rushing?

It will give you a small leg up. Most recs will get you invited back to the second round of rush, but that's pretty much it.

Just tell them you were a contestant on The Voice, I hear that makes you a ~famous celebrity~ at Arizona!
