It might make them pay a little bit extra attention to you, but it does not mean an automatic bid. They still have to like you for all the reasons they would like everyone else they give a bid to.
Legacy status just sort of helps prevent you from getting "lost in the shuffle" with the rest of the PNMs. So I don't really know what you mean by how much they "take it into consideration."
So many people are legacies these days. It doesn't mean as much as it used to.
