by: HopefulI just sent in my application for U of A and im excited to see if I get accepted or not. Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Kappa, and Chi Omega are my dream sororities. I can't wait to hopefully rush and meet all of you!

Word of advice......DO NOT get too excited. Remember you need to go through the Recruitment Process just like everyone else. Keep in mind that you may or may NOT get a bid from your dream sororities. You may even get cut during the recruitment rounds. Nothing in this world is for sure until it happens.

Spoke by someone who has a tremendous amount of life experience!! Way to be positive and inviting to someone who is considering Greek life. My guess is you got cut from your favorites and ended up in a house that was not top on your list.

No, it's called speaking the truth. And every sorority at UA knows this happens. The problems that the sororities paint pretty pictures to all PNM only to find out the what's behind the pretty pictures. It's not so pretty. These PNM need to understand while they have the opportunity to rush a house(s) things can change during the process. The sororities need to be upfront with these PNM and stop leading them on making them believe they will get into their dream house.

I know how recruitment works. I'm not exactly attactched to any of these houses. I just like them historically/nationally. :) Im overall excited to experience recruitment if I get dropped or not.

Honestly, Good for you for researching what you like! but don't feed into what people say on here! I am in theta and I came here wanting gamma phi so badly but on pref night I decided theta over them because i felt more at home! Not downing their chapter or anything but rush comes down to how you feel in a certain place and you may love a house now but your mind could completely change the second you walk into one! Just keep an open mind and you will do great! Also don't be sad if a house doesn't want you back, its a common part of rush that ALOT of girls face, just stay positive and you will end up right where you are supposed to be.

Exactly! On preference I had the choice between a top house and a lower house and I ended up suiciding for the lower house because that was where I felt most comfortable. In real life at actual U of A the tiers do not matter nearly as much as they do on this website. I've never felt out of place in Greek life even though my chapter is constantly bashed on here. Good for you, whoever posted this, for basing your opinion on more than this dumb site, but I hope that you will keep an open mind about all of the houses during recruitment and find your home!!! Good luck :)

I didn't know I was going to upset so many people! Haha, I meant that I liked those sororities on the historic/national level. I'm legit excited to meet all of you, and im aware that no sorority is better than the next.
