pi phi affiliation?
by: piphiangel
I'm thinking of transferring to the University of Arizona next year for various reasons. I'm a Pi Phi at my current school and I'm just wondering what the HONEST opinions are of the Pi Phis here. At my current school, tiers don't really matter since all of our Greek organizations do the same kind of events and such, but my chapter of Pi Phi isn't really considered "top" since we're not really as competitive during recruitment as the "top" houses, but we're known for having one of the strongest sisterhoods on campus. The Pi Phis at my school are known for being really chill and down to earth, which is exactly how I am, and our house is very diverse. We have pretty girls, and then some girls who are just plain, but we get along great.
I guess I'm just asking, are the Pi Phis here like that or should I look elsewhere? How hard is it to affiliate with them here? I don't want to give up my letters, but I just don't care for my current university's environment. Joining the Greek system has been the best part of it.

I would recommend visiting Arizona first. Then you can get a feel for how the girls are and you can judge how accepting and nice they are to you. In my opinion the Pi Phis here are one of the more genuine of the top houses. They are one of the top houses so they tend to be more competitive during rush. If you are looking for sisterhood I would check out Adpi, Chi O, or Tri Delta. They have the strongest sisterhoods on campus. Hope this helps!

She can't check out those houses. She's a pi phi. No matter what school she's at. You can't join another panhellenic sorority if you've already joined one. Even if you transfer schools.
