It looks like DKE could not compete with the well established fraternities at UA. It's not that easy getting started at UA. It does take a network of Alumni and dedicated men to get something new started and make it prosper. Personally, I think it was just a group of guys that wanted to start a drinking/party club, because they could not get bids from the existing fraternities and they found out that starting a new National Fraternity does require a lot work and probably did not want to put forth the effort. Remember, Greek Life is NOT for everyone.

From what I heard they're coming back next semester and they've already got a house

That does not make any sense. They start up last Spring semester, take a break this fall semester and will come back next Spring semester. Seems to me that they are either not that well organized or need to find other guys to continue this so called colony. They don't seem that pretty legit.

To me they seemed like a solid group of guys I dont know what the ifc thinks but in my opinion they looked pretty legit!!
