How different is the process for sophomores? The bare minimum GPA for sophomores is a 2.5, how does that affect things?

most houses don't want sophomores. if you really want to join a house, you're going to have to be open to joining a bottom or lower house. and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that.

the sophomores who get into top houses generally are already friends with the girls in that house.

That's completely untrue. I'm in a "top house" and I was a sophomore and knew no one in my chapter and I got a bid from two houses. I was only dropped by one house. It all depends on your personality and looks. Doesn't depend on your age. We even took a handful of juniors.

I meant that I prefed two houses. I know i would have gotten a bid from both

they all take sophomores, if you have good grades it will be a non issue really
