youre not gonna get accurate descriptions on this website. rush is about going with your gut and if you rely on this website you'll go in with a misconception of the houses and not give then all an equal chance. being in a sorority isn't about the stereotypes or anything. 30 years from now what will matter is the bonds you made with your sisters and the dearness of the traditions and history of your house. not the reputation. go through rush and see where you can see yourself being friends with the girls the easiest.

I just want a description of them so I don't get blinded by rush and end up choosing a house that isn't what i'm looking for if that makes sense?

You will know what house isn't for you. Trust me. They will either know if you fit in or you will know.

I agree, what I was trying to say is whatever house you end up in typically is where you are supposed to be. I got into a house I did not want, but I LOVE it so much now because I gave it a chance.Just go in open minded, but if you don't get what you want, still try it for a while, because chances are you will love it.

No one can give you a completely accurate description of every house. We all have different opinions about each house, and most of them probably aren't that accurate, the rumors/ the few people we all know in other houses cannot give an accurate description of the house as a whole. The only people who can tell you how a house really is, is the girls in that house. Stop worrying about, reputations, and just go in with an open mind about each house. You will end up where you are suppose to be.

really? you are an idiot. figure it out in august when you meet girls in each sorority. so until rush stay the hell off this site. btw its obvious this post is fake and just a way to get girls to talk smack about other houses. SO PATHETIC.

I honestly know nothing about the greek life here, and like someone previously said most of the girls are pretty fake during rush week so I think it would be pretty helpful to get some kind of a description for each sorority before I spend my time and money on a house I may or may not end up loving. I know it's good to go with your gut and I know that's what I'm gonna do, but I also don't want to go in blind and not know a thing. This isn't to start a war, I honestly am curious.

Just go to the Panhellenic website. From there you can see each houses gpa, look at their actual websites so you can look at their philanthropies and such and you can also look at how much each house costs. However, no matter what get off this site or recruitment won't be all it could be for you.

^^^^AGREE!!!!!! Go to the UA Recruitment /Rush website. You can research each and every house there. It's very helpful to review the Greek Achievements & Awards to fully understand who are the true top houses.

Yes seriously this website will NOT do you any good at all for rush. I looked on here before I rushed a couple years ago, and the house I ended up at had some bad comments, making me completely not want to be called back to that house during rush. Now I'm in a house that I can not be more happy in, and my life has been so much better, I've had the best experiences of my life and can call girls my sisters because of it. Even if you just want "descriptions" you won't get any accurate ones here. Everyone will have their own bias view on each house, and not everyone's opinion will match your own. When we say trust the system, WE MEAN IT. Greek life isn't for everyone, but if you come in with an open mind, great values, and be yourself, you will find the home you belong in.
